Great news to hear another episode is on the way gentlemen, it is much anticipated. Philip Dwyer is a great choice to add insight to the early years of Napoleon, truly looking forwards to this episode. David, nice job on ‘Death Masks’. I think we all wish they could have given the Emperor a few more minutes of air time.

  2. I just wanted to thank you guys for the podcast. I just found it and have listened to the first 2 episodes and really enjoyed them both.

You provide me with so much info and great discussion on such an interesting subject that i really know nothing about. It is much appreciated! 😀

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Hey Phillip! Great to hear from another Brisbanite! Glad you’re enjoying the show.

  4. I want to thank you both as well for the wonderful podcast. I stumbled upon it while bored at work about a month or so ago, and it’s really helped pass the time! I never realized how interesting a person Napoleon was! I even went out and purchased David’s ‘Napoleon for Dummies’ with some X-mas money! I’m thoroughly a Napoleon addict now, due to this podcast.

By the way, did you guys eventually do podcasts on Caesar or Alexander the Great? I believe David mentioned it in passing in episode 16, but I couldn’t find any listings for it on iTunes. Anyway, keep up the great work and I hope you both are doing well!

I have really enjoyed this series and thank both Cameron and David for all the time and effort in producing them. I also want to thank each of the guests who have AND WILL contribute… I listen from just a few hours south of the Esteemed J. David Markham. On my second trip through this series and still enjoy the “robust” quality, (they are NOT too long).

  6. Mike

Hey I think the Napoleon show you and David do is awesome. I have listened to all the episodes, was wondering if you were both stil considering doing a large series on Alexander or Julius Caesar? Keep up the good work!

    • Cameron

Hey Mike! Unfortunately the Caesar show never got off the ground due to David’s workload.

Gentlemen I coach leaders and teach leadership for corporations. I have done this for 20 years. I have found your wonderful Podcast to be one of the most richest sources of knowledge and teaching about leadership I have come across. I am an advocate of the idea that leadership is about ‘character and competence’ Your discussions of Napoleon as the leader and as the man provides insights that are very relevant in today’s businesses. Thankyou!

    • Cameron

Cheers Mark! I totally think that Australia suffers from a lack of leadership and a culture that values managers over leaders. I’ve covered the subject quite a bit on one of my other podcasts, especially in discussions with Dr Peter Ellyard. (http://designing2050.wordpress.com/dr-peter-ellyards-podcast-series/)

Good to see someone who has kept their Ozemail address. 🙂 I worked there in the heyday, 96 – 98. We practically invented the internet. 🙂

  8. Thank you very much, I love this podcast. It is great fun especially because I totally agree with David view of Napoleon.
Born in France, in Boulogne Sur Mer, I have always been a great supportor of the Emperor and had to defend him often. In Boulogne where I grown up each year the camp de Boulogne” was redone and everyone (especially the English Tourist)were able to shout vive l’Empereur and see the uniform of the grande armee. (this podcast bring back good memories)

I wish dearly for you to continue your discussion of the Napoleonic era… it is a wonderful work….congratulation “vous meritez la legion d’honneur”.

Thank you very much et vive l’Empereur

    Francois

    • Cameron

Merci François, always great to hear from French listeners! Keep spreading the truth about Napoleon in your home land!
